Marco Alvarado’s work centers on people, public policy, and institutional reform. While interning for an Illinois State Representative, he drafted a policy proposal to amend the Stalking No Contact Order Act. The proposal received unanimous support, expanding protections for victims of stalking and harassment. He also supported justice-impacted students through educational and career programming.

He is the founder and president of the Honors Student Government (HSG), supporting and improving the honors experience for all. Under his leadership, HSG has transformed from an informal student initiative into a sustainable institutional body.
